'Saw this while I was invited out to speak at the Yestermorrow Tiny House Fair in Waitsfield, VT..... a pretty clever, yet simple design, that could be made out of mere scraps of wood from another project. I'm always on the lookout for these thrifty ideas.

If you missed one of the videos we shot up there, showing a sneak peak of my new tiny cabin on wheels "The Cub", AND a tiny house from Ecovativedesign.com that is insulated with mushrooms(!?)- here it is....

  1. Dang, that Ecovative design house is cool!  I'm pretty sure my wife wouldn't go for the insulation because of our mold allergies (not that it wouldn't be safe, I'm sure its inert, but its kinda like someone with bee allergies using honeycombs to fill the walls,... it just doesn't "feel" right) but that loft solutions is brilliant too!  Do you have any more information on that?  I need that extra four inches of loft space!  Now that I'm typing, I want it for my roof too (I'm planning a nearly flat roof)!  Do you suppose you might be able to point me in the direction of more info on that welded steel grid?

    That would rock!

I was in your 2012 Chicago Tumbleweed course.  I'm now planning the details but I have the most recent designs posted here if you are interested.  You will also see why I want thinner, lighter decking solutions when you see the pop-out porch that's part of our final design.  Gettin closer to bulid time!

  2. it's a simple but awesum, i love the picture. Thanks for sharing this.Princess Car Beds
